Mount Everest, Nepal

I spent one month in Nepal enjoying her culture and climbing her Himalayas. After a few days exploring the city of Kathmandu, we took a public bus to Jiri where we began an 18-day hike to Everest Base Camp.

My main goal of this page is to inform all the adventure seekers with little cash and loads of time that round-trip trekking to Everest Base Camp can be $400. If you have all of your own gear, you’ll save money… If you bargain with every tea house… you’ll save money… If you opt out of flying to Lukla and take a bus to Jiri and hike to Lukla, you’ll save money… So if you’re ready to get your feet dirty and experience more cultural Nepal, check out the Jiri Trek.
